Maria Clara is from Hyderabad, India. She has been pursuing her artistic talents since 2008 in different mediums. She holds a certificate in Art and Critical Appreciation from JNAFAU, Hyderabad. 

She was introduced to Batik at a friend's place, and went on to complete a certified course from the Weavers' Service Centre, Ministry of Textiles, Hyderabad.

She derives her inspiration from everything which is positive and challenging.
